A round, ribbed glass shade that sits close to the wall. When it is on, the pleats spread the light out in soft rays, so even a plain hallway wall looks warm and finished.

Will it suit my room? It works in a hallway, on a landing, either side of the bed or in a living room alcove. It sticks out only 21cm, so it suits narrow corridors and stairways. Fit it at about 150-170cm from the floor.

Ceiling and wall lights are hard-wired and must be fitted by a qualified electrician. Lamps and plug-in lights come with a UK 3-pin plug, so there's nothing to wire. Check the bulb fitting and recommended bulb in the specifications above, and use LED bulbs for the coolest, most efficient light.
